My little plush Ponca Kangaroo is made of plush. Body color (primary color) is mustard, inner ears & border of the pouch (secondary color) can be blue or pink canvas. My Kangaroo was designed in cooperation with Ms Consuelo Fernandez Ortiz of BeMarsupial, Melbourne, VIC, Australia Regardless of your associations, you've probably wondered what distinguishes one animal from the other. After all, they look so much alike. They're both marsupials, meaning mothers carry their young around in built-in pouches. & scientists have even grouped them into the same order, family & subfamily. The most obvious difference between the wallaby & the kangaroo is size. As a rule, the kangaroo is generally much larger than the wallaby. The kangaroo has more height between its ankles & knees, which makes its legs seem out of proportion to its body. The kangaroo's legs are built for speed on open terrain. The wallaby's more compact legs are built for agility in forested areas. Although there are many different species of both wallabies & kangaroos that span a wide range of sizes, wallabies only tend to weigh between four pounds & 53 pounds (2 kg to 24 kg) & grow a mere 12 inches to 24 inches (30 cm to 104 cm) tall, not including their tails. Kangaroos, on the other hand, can grow to heights of 8 feet (2.1 meters) & weigh as much as 200 pounds (91 kg). They are all soft, cuddly & cute for all ages. Each Ponca toy has a triangle body shape. Their body is about 8" (20 cm) & 6" (15 cm) wide. They have big head & they can sit or lay. All Ponca toys are made of Oeko Tex 100 Standard certified plush fabric. Stuffing is a high quality polyfill which is soft, hygienic, & keeps its volume & shape for a long time. Ponca toys are machine washable on low temperature using mild detergent. Can be tumble dried. Other Ponca toys are also available in my shop. The name Ponca was a nickname of my son when he was a little boy. His sister used to call him this name by the time she started to talk.
