This is a vintage laundry mailing box from the early 20th century. The black fiberboard case features metal corners, canvas straps, & 2 label holders. From the 1910s to the 1960s, shipping clothing home to be laundered was a cheaper & helpful alternative for college students & military servicemen, or anyone else that did not have the time or resources to do it on their own.
