All Products I make are unique, as every fabric is a handwoven on-of-a-kind piece, that I source in Guatemala directly. This well-fitting style, is made out of the ancient knowledge of the Mayan weaving craft. Past on through generation they create fabrics that not only tell stories but the wisdom of Mayan culture, the wisdom of the universe. Informations that are almost lost, but if you dive into these amazing patterns, you'll find yourself in another world. I highly appreciate the art-full & time consuming work of the indigenous people of Guatemala, mainly women, & want to help & support them sustaining themselves through this craft. By using their traditional 'Huipiles' & turning them into modern robes, I also want to encourage a new view on fashion. As fashion became something like a feast, & whatever somebody puts on the table, will be eaten. Instead of beeing told how we should look like... we should turn it into a way to express ourselves, the wonderful individuals we are. It is way better to make something for someone perfectly fitting, than producing a piece, where a lot of time an thought went into it, for it to hang around unused.
