Description
These bowls are handmade in Sri Lanka using rolled up strips of newspaper which have been dyed bright colours. They are held together with simple white craft glue. When dry, the glue turns clear & creates a strong protective bond that makes these bowls surprisingly sturdy. An ingenious & ecological way to use up old newspapers. These medium bowls can be used as small cake or fruit baskets (a paper napkin inside will keep them clean), or dressing table organisers for cosmetics, bangles & so on. Not suitable for anything wet, of course. Dimensions: 20 cms diameter x 8 cms high.
