Taking shape from the pillars & lines of ancient ruins, imagine stepping back in time, feeling the Mediterranean sun on your face & the sea breeze in your hair as you stand before the columns of the island's grand palaces & temples. These earrings have been lovingly hand carved in wax, then cast in metal using the lost wax casting process. Available in brass, sterling silver, gold vermeil (14k heavy gold plate over sterling silver), or solid 10k gold - please inquire for other metal types. Brass earrings have 14k gold filled posts & backs & sterling silver have sterling silver posts & backs. 10k gold earrings have 14k gold posts & backs. They measure approximately 2" long & are surprisingly lightweight. The components move separately from each other. These earrings are made to order - please allow about 1-3 weeks to be made & possibly more for solid gold. If they are in stock they will be shipped much sooner. You will be notified by Etsy when it ships. About the materials: Brass is a lovely & affordable alternative to gold. Depending on an individual's skin chemistry, contact with skin may leave a temporary & harmless dark mark. Like silver, it tends to tarnish over time. Both metals are easily cleaned with household substances such as white toothpaste, or by making a paste with lemon juice & baking soda. A typical jewelry cleaner or cloth works as well.
