BRITISH 1950'S STRAND VINTAGE THEATRE LIGHT - RE-PROPOSED INTO A BEAUTIFUL DESK LAMP - This iconic example of British design was made by The Strand Lighting Company in their Covent Garden works in London's West End. This Strand 123 profile spotlight - also known as the 'Baby Spot' was one of the workhorses of the theatre industry from the 1950s to the 1980s. Regrettably, most have now been lost or destroyed & the survivors represent rare examples of an original British Industrial Design classic. The light has been superbly engineered & features a ventilated die-cast body, 360-degree rotation, Internal reflectors, & Iconic design. The spotlight has been professionally polished to a bright mirror finish by a specialist British company. We take pride in the finished result as the light represents a unique & rare piece of design history. The Light provides ideal feature lighting. The Light is presented on a vintage-style cast metal desk stand. Ideal for use as for use on desk or bookshelf feature light. The light has been professionally re-wired with 3 core quality silk braided vintage style lighting flex with inline On & Off Switch. The light has been converted for home or office use & takes regular household light bulbs up to 300 watts, We also fitted a deluxe vintage style Bakelite plug fitted (BS1363/A). This light has been fully pat tested by a certified tester for electrical safety & meets the current British safety requirements. The light is a rare & original British Industrial design classic, passionately restored & looking for a new home.
