Title: 'Fraxinus' Paper size: 76 x 56cm Image size: 50 x 37cm An original handmade screenprint in three colours . edition of 30 . sold unframed (This fits under the mount / matt of a standard 61 x 91cm frame from the Ribba series at Ikea.) On finest quality Fabriano 100% cotton paper (285gsm) with a deckled edge. Signed, numbered, titled & dated in pencil at the bottom I like to work around repetition, forming patterns, & also using some hand drawn textures to add interest. This print forms part of my plant collection & is based on the seed from an Ash tree. All my prints are created entirely by hand, from the initial drawings, mixing of the inks, to the actual pulling of the ink across the silk screen onto finest quality paper. Every colour & stencil is applied separately making a truely handmade piece of work. They are original artworks in their own right & over time should increase in value. This is different to 'Limited edition giclee' prints which are reproductions (inkjet prints from a computer) & not originals.
