Description
A fine late 20th century Sheraton style cabinetmaker two piece breakfront bookcase cabinet with yew wood, rosewood & mahogany marquetry art in floral Art Nouveau designs. Since this is a 1980s era piece I believe the vertical spirals & horizontal crest design are marquetry art stencils & the cabinet doors are marquetry inlaid panels. Know that it is a reproduction piece; not a 100 year plus piece, but either way very well made & very large cabinet. 3 glass doors over 3 lower shelved enclosed cupboards on a bracket base. Well preserved. This display storage mercantile cabinet has a combination of elements of casual elegance making it a beautiful addition to any home. It is versatile in design, size, & form. All tight & in excellent aged condition. There are original adjustable wooden shelves with wooden corner notches in the top cabinet. & storage shelves inside the lower cabinet. Beautiful craftsmanship. No significant flaws to note, normal minor age usage with a scuff or ding here & there. Brass ormolu rosette escutcheons for the locks. It doesn't have its original key but I was able to find one that works...a bit tight but if you wanted it would be an easy task to have one made. Appx 86" tall total height ( 34 1/2 " base with 51 1/2 " top ) x 108" wide x 18 " deep at base & steps back to 14 " deep. This comes apart in two sections. It can be placed beautifully in any room or built into a custom designed kitchen cabinet, dining room, living room, craft room, or library~! An unusual custom cabinet that you will love adding to your home~! UShip services will deliver this to your door. Estimated cost depending on your location.
