Description
This fabric is 36 inches wide & is sold by the yard. It is 100% cotton. This is an very finely woven fabric. It feels almost like silk. The colors are so much richer than they appear in the picture. The fabric was hand woven in the highlands of Guatemala in a Mayan village. The weaving is done on a treadle loom without the use of electricity. Each weaver learns to weave from his or her parents. It is an art form that has been handed down through the generations. This is a medium weight fabric that could be used for apparel or for a home decorating project.
