The Lower & Upper halves of Prior Lake stretch across the southwestern metro area of Minnesota, & are a haven for summer & winter water activities. Water flows northerly around a handful of islands from the southern, Upper Prior Lake, into the northern Lower Prior Lake, & together, they form a stunning subject for this artwork. The lake & the city that surrounds it is named for Charles Prior, who brought the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad here in 1872. This is an original, layered papercut piece, handmade in Minnesota, shown here in both a set of rich Royal blues & cheery Aqua blues, & featuring the lovely Prior Lakes. This unique piece is intricately cut from five layers of high quality, acid-free cardstock. The top layer is a bright white, while the layers underneath are in ever-darker shades of color. Because this piece is handmade, it will differ very slightly from piece pictured here. The back is titled, signed & dated as an original piece. The work measures 8 x 10 inches (about 20 x 25 cm), & is about 1/8" thick. It will be sent to you carefully wrapped & supported to ensure it arrives safely.
