Cass Lake & Pike Bay were formed many years ago by glaciers & were once thought to be the source of the mighty Mississippi. Now, these waters are home to excellent summer activities like fishing & swimming, & boast a lake (Windigo) within an island (Star) within a lake! One of the larger lakes in north, central Minnesota, Cass Lake is well recognized, well known, & well loved. This is an original, layered papercut piece, handmade in Minnesota, shown here in both a set of Royal blues & Aqua blues, & featuring the beautiful Cass Lake. This unique piece is intricately cut from five layers of high quality, acid-free cardstock. The top layer is a bright white, while the layers underneath are in ever-darker shades of color. Because this piece is handmade, it will differ very slightly from piece pictured here. The back is titled, signed & dated as an original piece. The work measures 8 x 10 inches (about 20 x 25 cm), & is about 1/8" thick. It will be sent to you carefully wrapped & supported to ensure it arrives safely.
