This is an 8x10" open edition giclee print of my original gouache painting of Eleanor Roosevelt. Politician Eleanor Roosevelt was one of the most admired Americans of the 20th century. She reshaped the role of First Lady during her time spent in the White House & while there she pushed for the civil rights of African Americans & Asian Americans, & expanded roles for women in the workplace. After leaving the White House a widow, she went on to be one the UN's first American delegates & later chaired JFK's Presidential Commission on the Status of Women. She also oversaw the drafting of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, one of her proudest achievements. This print is from a series entitled "The Greats". It includes women that are completely inspiring for their tenacity & singularity. When I feel as though the world & its problems are too overwhelming, it's helpful to look at these people who tirelessly chipped away at some obstacle and, in doing so, affected history. Image is printed on high quality 50 lb paper with a 1/4" boarder for easy matting & framing. Each print is titled & signed on the front. If you are interested in a different size, please message me.
