Indigo Shibori Fabric Scraps, Tie Dye Fabric Sampler, Gift For Sewer This indigo Shibori bundle consists of 7 hand dyed, cotton pieces. They have been created with Japanese Shibori techniques, in which the fabric is manipulated to create pattern when dyed. Stitching, wrapping, folding, binding & compression, are some of the ways in which pattern is achieved. Each bundle is carefully collated to provide you with a variety of techniques & patterns. The photos here are a sampling of pieces from various bundles. You may, or may not, receive these exact patterns, but you will receive a variety of 7 unique pieces. One piece may be solid indigo. Each set contains some squares & some rectangles. Rectangles range in size from 6"x 7" - 5"x 15", squares range from 8"x 7" - 11"x 12". No pack contains just the smaller sizes, while no pack contains just the larger pieces. You will find a balance. All pieces are excellent quality cotton fabric. The majority are Robert Kaufman Kona cotton & Pimatex cotton broadcloth. They can be used anywhere small pieces are useful, from visible mending & patching jeans, to making zippered pouches, wristlets, covered buttons, coasters, gift tags, pincushions, or scrappy quilts. You can frame these pieces for a collection of wall art in traditional frames or embroidery hoops.
