Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk I've just returned from a European buying trip & this is one of the my amazing finds This was used in Porto, Portugal at Carnival , in the 1920's. I purchased it from a 72 year old woman who said it was her mothers!~ It's just about as good as they get! This is a top & pants with wonderful clown collar ! the pants are draw string both machine & hand stitched. ~ a wonderful piece of Carnival history!~ Rare. museum quality textile ~ it's fabulous!! Wonderful little metal bells that jingle all around Measurements: This textile measures approximately Shirt : 28 inches long 22 inches across on the shoulders 54 inch chest 54 inch waist 26 inch long sleeves Pants 46 inch waist with draw string fully let out 40 inches long 28 inch inseam Hat : 20 inches around at the opening 12 inches long Condition: This lovely textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are some sighs of time & use, please use the zoom feature to view exact condition . There is uneven fading. There are stains on each side & there are some age marks on each side , front & back ~signs of time & use are often inherent in these magical textiles!
