SIZE: - 24 cm / 9.4 inches in diameter This listing is for a one of a kind beautiful handmade ceramic serving plate with a gorgeous white horse surrounded by white flowers, design done in sgraffito technique. This platter would be a wonderful home gift for someone who loves the cosiness of cottage core aesthetics. This original clay platter is handbuilt & decorated using white underglaze & food safe transparent glaze. At first I built the plate using fine terracotta clay. Once the softness of the clay had dried to reach 'leather-hard' stage, I applied white underglaze & drew as well as carved out the design complete with beautiful white flowers. Next, the decorated plate went into the kiln to be bisque-fired at 1000 degrees Celsius. Then I added transparent glaze, & it went into the kiln again for the second firing. This plate is entirely food safe. It can be put in a dishwasher, but I would recommend washing it by hand.
