"Flatland" Sometimes a piece of wood conjures.up an image with its stains & marks & paint. On this board, the patterns of light & dark looked like a looming sky on the Plains, so I added trees, clouds, a car on a road & a distant house. It's hand painted with lettering enamel on a 11.5" x 7.25" piece of reclaimed wood. The wood used to be part of the framework of a wall of colored plexiglass panels. We took the wall out & now the wood lives on in a new form. It's drilled with a hole on the back the allows it to hang on a nail or screw. This is a one-of-a-kind item hand painted in my studio/workshop in Troy, New York.
