A variety of white yarns & threads have been woven to adorn a slice of wood to create a Baltic Tellin shell inspired by the shells that the artist has foraged locally along the shores of southern Cornwall. The wood was sourced from storm damage. The wood is perfectly imperfect with an irregular shape, bark & lichen. These imperfections are beautiful & create a truly one off piece of artwork. The new fibre art seeks to enhance this history, creating a new life of hope & beauty beyond brokenness. This artwork comes with a hook on the back, ready for admiring on a wall or sitting on a shelf.
