This soft, colourful snug is 13 inches deep with a 25 inch circumference (24 inches for the smaller of the two). This Might Have Been Autumn snug has a variegated rust weft of Australian lambswool (non-mulesed merino) shot through with a spring-beech-leaf green blend of British breeds wool spun in a small mill on the Isle of Iona in the Hebrides, Scotland. The merino yarn travelled far to the UK for an Australian customer; I will not be continuing to use it for reasons of sustainability. (Indulge yourself while just one or two more batches worth remain.) This snug is joined by a secure row of decorative knots. Among my softest garments, its ratings are as follows: Softness rating 3.5/5 (where 5 is best - see above charts) Itch factor 1/5 (where 0 is best) Sustainability rating 0/5 (where 5 is best & -5 is worst) A word on care: To avoid felting or shrinkage, I recommend handwashing only, in cool water, with minimal agitation. Ecover Delicate Wash, or similar, will give a clean, unperfumed, soapy smell that preserves the integrity of the wool. Please note, in case of allergy, that my items come from a home with a dog, but will smell fresh. Other words: Because I live in a van with my loom, touring the Celtic lands, bear with me if your parcel is posted from an outer isle, Brittany or Ireland & is at all slow to arrive - I'll let you know.
