He is approximately 16cm tall. These mischievous gnomes originate from Scandinavian folklore; they protect the homes they live in but may play pranks if they aren't respected - they are especially intolerant of rudeness & ill-treatment of animals! in return for their year-round work, all they require is a bowl of Julgröt (a kind of rice pudding), with a generous knob of butter on top, on Christmas Eve. My needle-felted figures begin life as a ball of carded wool & a piece of wire. After many hours of lovingly stabbing the wool with a sharp point the fibres tangle, forming felt.
