"Few of a Kind" piece, individually cut & meticulously sewn by me! Style: The Chore Coat Inspired by men's workwear chore jacket silhouette. Features a long boxy cut, relaxed to oversized fit, extra long sleeves, pointed collar, playful pocket details - heart pocket at the right hip, rounded corner rectangle pocket at the left hip. Piping details interior with vintage mixed match buttons. Fabric: Her past life was 1950s Ohio star quilt. She is mixed with florals, fun & vibrant. She is also in an excellent condition. Hand tied with the light yellow mustard yarn all over the quilt. The Ohio Star block is rich in history & has been around since the early 1800's. Like a lot of blocks, it's known by a few other names - Variable Star, Eastern Star & Western Star, depending on it's geographical location or time period. It was a popular block amongst pioneer quilters because it allowed the quilter to use lots of scraps & create a stunning & unique block. There's gorgeous angles & wonderful movement in this pattern which is why it's stood the test of time & is still popular with today's modern quilter. Bear in mind: "Few of a Kind" pieces are new garments that made by using materials which mostly are considering vintage/antique. They also have their past lives that had served their original purposes. Some minor discolored, stains or spots might still appear on some garments as if they are telling you their stories.
