evening begins to set over the Volcano national forest on Hawaii island. Mauna Loa is seen in the distance with a yellow lehua Ohia tree & pink lichen in the forefront of the landscape. This painting was inspired by a photo I took on an evening visit to the park. Evening is my favorite time to visit volcanos park in part because of the beautiful sunsets seen over the mountains.
