Lovingly hand dyed yarn by DyeForYarn - 80% Wool, 20% Silk (Merino superwash, Silk) - Cobweb weight 1750 yds (100g skein) Color description: A semi solid dark cool brown with a bluish purple undertone. All listed skeins are of the same dye lot, but color distribution between skeins may vary. Yarn stats: 80% Wool, 20% Silk yardage per 100g: 1750 yds. (1600m) listing skein size: 100g => 1750 yds.(1600m) (Merino superwash, Mulberry silk) Yarn weight: Cobweb weight Needle size: 2.5 - 4 mm (US 1.5 - 6) Yarn properties: You get a squishy, luxuriously soft & subtly shiny cobweb weight yarn, perfect for shawls & stoles. How to wash your FO: Hand wash in cold or lukewarm water with a wool washing agent. ATTENTION: Very intense and/or dark colors may bleed, especially blue, teal, purple & red. We recommend to soak the finished garment in a hot water bath with lots of vinegar for about 30 minutes. Use gloves to avoid fixation of excess dye on your skin. Afterwards soak your garment in luke warm to cold water with a very small amount of wool washing agent (like SOAK). Rinse with luke warm to cold water until the water is clear. A few words about the smell of our yarns: After the dyeing process, which involves white vinegar, we wash each color batch with unscented silk washing agent (SOAK). Because of that the smell of vinegar isn't masked with any fragrance, therefore you might notice a lingering smell of vinegar. This smell will dissipate after washing your garment for the first time.
