This is a vintage Dietz Highway Torch circa 1940s - 1960s. The metal smudge pot was used as a road or railroad warning at night. Filled with kerosene, the balls would flame a light to act as a warning. CONDITION in good condition with wear consistent with age & use. As found. Rusting & a dent near the base.
