'Sing me closer' was designed & carved while I was taking part in the West End market in Edinburgh during the 2023 Festival in August. I had a great stall which gave me room to sit & draw, trace & carve the block over the course of the first week of the month. I printed it in the days following the market, on Stonehenge cream coloured paper in a denim blue. The sirens have always been in my head as I am fascinated with mythology & visited Greece for the first time last year. (See also my Medusa, also new in my Etsy shop!) Quirky & unique designs that you won't find anywhere else! I design, draw, cut & print all my pieces in my home studio, inspired by the things I love. This edition is printed on cream coloured Stonehenge print paper with a Woodzilla lever press, using Cranfield caligo safe wash inks. All prints are sold unframed for you to choose your presentation style or give as a great gift. As prints are hand made individually there will always be slight variations in colour & pressure; I try to keep these as minimal as I can, but it is also part of the beauty of a hand made piece.
