This absolutely ancient & unique mug was produced in England circa 1810. This 200 years plus mug is soooo charming! A truly stunning folk art piece for your country shelf or dresser! The creamware mug features the most vibrant hand painted polychrome detailing in pink, green, orange & red. The centre piece of the design is the hand painted name reading 'Hannah.' Named creamware mugs are extremely hard to find & extremely sought after by collectors. Hannah is one of the hardest names to find & seemed to be most popular during the late 18th/early 19th century. This truly is a wonderful mug! We cannot help wonder who the original recipient Hannah was. This is the perfect item for anyone who has a passion for nurseryware, early English ceramics or has a Hannah in their family! Measuring: Width including handle 4 3/8 inch (11 cm) by height 3 5/8 inch (9.5 cm). Condition: It has been well used & loved. Two old hairlines to rim with associated chips & staining.
