This stunning blue & white plate was produced by Spode circa 1815. We love the grey-blue glaze & the stunning transfer printed blue & white design with hand painted polychrome yellow enamel detailing. This handsome plate would work soooo well with your early delft or faience collection. A great interior design piece. Stone china is incredible strong, stronger that earthenware & less expensive than porcelain. It is extremely satisfying to hold in the hand, it really does demonstrate just how advanced the British ceramics industry was at the time.
