This is small "Bohemia" chess set made in Germany ca 1980's. The set consists of 32 wooden chessmen accompanied by a native cardboard storage box. Chess pieces are made of hard wood & turned in classical German Staunton pattern. Knights are carved in a distinctive shape known as "chicken knight" The chessmen on the white side are in natural color & coated in varnish. Other side is painted black. Chessmen are bottomed with felt & unweighted. The set comes with its native box made of cardboard & bound with red textured paper. There's a gilded logo on the lid. There's a quality control label in the box. The chess board on the pictures is for a sense of scale & NOT a part of this offer. Squares measure 4x4cm. the set fits well on that size Condition: Pieces are in mint condition, the set looks like unused. Coating on both side is nice & shiny. All felts are present. The box is also in excellent condition. Quality pass label is still present. Please examine images carefully as they are important part of description.
