1930s William Adams Blue & White Chinese Pattern Mug Dimensions: 3.5" diameter, 3.75" tall. Made in England. Vintage, almost antique! The bottom inscription reads: "Chinese Bird - Rd No. 623294. This pattern was introduced by William Adams in 1780, being a copy of a Chinese pattern & one of the first of its style produced in England." This mug is an almost-antique copy of an even older patterned mug, which itself was a Europeanized copy of a Chinese pattern. REF#11 Item Condition: Good - A few chips on the bottom rim, but they are old & smoothed over. The blue & white speckled pattern camouflages them quite well.
