The perfect ring for a Kentucky basketball fan, or any fan of historical college hoops! This ring is made from the original wood flooring used in Rupp Arena from 1976-2001 along the central band, combined with brilliant blue-stained wood for the edges & a black ceramic inner liner that is sure to please any fan of the Wildcats! Each ring is unique & made to order - no two are exactly alike. This ring is also available in carbon fiber, white ceramic, & titanium (see image 4 for examples). This is the original flooring from Rupp Arena - installed in 1976, & replaced in 2001. The floor was home to the Wildcats for seasons that include the 1978, 1996, & 1998 championship teams, was played on by a number of Kentucky greats, & featured the NCAA tournament championship in 1985 (won by Villanova). After the floor was replaced in 2001, several pieces were used by the university & the convention center for promotional pieces & decoration. The remaining portions of the floor were subsequently stored on site at the Lexington Convention Center. On Aug. 17, 2018, those remaining portions of the floor were auctioned off, & we were able to purchase a portion of that flooring. Each ring will include a certificate of authenticity from us. By request, we will also provide a copy of the letter of authenticity provided us by the convention center for the flooring panels that we purchased.
