BVK Soest Vase Vlieg-uut Beautiful vase made of white clay made by BVK 'Bouwens en Van Kampen', later called 'Vlieg-uut', Soest Netherlands. A nice tiny pear shaped vase with a design of little bellflowers on a branch on a creme background. The flowers are in light blue & rose, the branche is is in light brown. The base is signed with a brown brush paint "BVK Soest 244" & a designers mark, a big S with a little D in the middle. The vase is probably end 1940s begin 1950s. At the time Vlieg-uut was mainly known for their little spell saucers, but also small ashtrays & small vases, all with light & simple decorations. At that time they had a considerable American export with their typical Dutch (tourist) spell plates. The height is 6,7cm, width 9cm, weight 168 grams. The condition is excellent.
