This whitework hand embroidered necklace is inspired by the "Barong Tagalog," a traditional Filipino formal top worn by men during special functions & occasions. It has intricate embroidery, usually by hand, & made from sheer fabric woven out of abaca, pineapple or banana leaf fibers. Over the years though, the Barong has evolved & is now also worn by women. Elegant in its simplicity, this minimalist necklace elevates a simple outfit or accentuates a stunning gown. I hand embroider every intricate piece, & each pattern is hand drawn so no two necklaces will be exactly the same.
