Description
This corked jar has a clove of garlic engraved into the side. Great for tea, spices, jewelry, & other stuff, too! 3 1/4" tall (without the cork in), 3 1/8" diameter. This item's creation began millions of years ago when fine sediment collected & formed deposits of the clay now being mined & reformulated for use in pottery. With a little careful crafting, this sloppy substance takes form in my hands & on the potter's wheel. The best of those forms are brought to 1046 degrees Celsius in a kiln, where they vitrify & become ready to accept glaze. This glaze essentially becomes a glass coating on the piece when it is again fired to 1177 degrees Celsius, further toughening the body & leaving it smooth, colorful, & easy to clean.
