This elegant creation was made in the late 1950s, & is labeled "George Hess Original". The label also proudly proclaims that the dress is made of pure Irish linen. A sheath in cut, the there is an overlapped slit at the back hem. The white-linen trimmed neckline & pocket edges echo one another in their beautiful contours. There is a row of nine plastic buttons down the back. There is a narrow matching belt, which is shown in the modeled photos. The dress is not lined. CONDITION: Very good. There are a handful of faintly visible small spots on the front bodice, shown in the final photo. It took me quite awhile to notice these. SIZE: Smallish-medium, about a US size 8.
