Wilderstein souvenir plate. Wilderstein is a Queen Anne style mansion on the eastern bank of the Hudson River near Rhinebeck, New York in Dutchess County. Designed by architect & designer Calvert Vaux who is best known for his work with Frederick Law Olmstead & the design of Central Park in New York City. Today, Wilderstein home & grounds are a museum & open for touring. This plate was made to commemorate the Centennial of the home & depicts the exterior of the home & gardens surrounded by a thistle pattern on the rim & a thin metallic gold band. Marked "Wilderstein on the shore of the Hudson River" Rhinebeck, New York. The Dutchess County Horticulture Society honors the centennial of this Queen Anne style mansion & its landscape. Designed by Calvert Vaux, shown here in a drawing by David Jon Greenwood 1989." Measurements: 10.25" Diameter Excellent Vintage Condition. No scratches. No chips. Minimal crazing.
