Crucifix Candlestick Holder This vintage glass candlestick holder takes the form of a three-dimensional crucified Christ, with a Latin inscription reading INRI. in Western art only the Latin version is generally depicted, abbreviated to 'INRI' (Iesus Nazarenus Rex Iudaeorum). This glass candlestick holder was produced in the 1980s-1990s. It is used in private homes, convents & churches. The candlestick holder was cast in separate two-piece iron molds, the socket & base then fused together by a glass wafer at the top of the standard while the glass was still hot. The cup, cross, & the layered base are clear glass while the corpus is frosted glass. This candlestick holder stands 7-1/4" tall with a layered hexagonal base measuring 4" in diameter. Made in the U.S.A.Weighs in at about 12 oz. before packaging. in lovely vintage condition. Looks unused.
