Quintessential vintage large wood slat storage basket - beautifully crafted with quality wood It's in good condition in very good shape. It surprising light weight, but still sturdy. It is a rectangle shape, shallow depth - perfect for carrying a large casserole dish, use it for conquering the clutter, or I have one that I use for newspapers/magazine in the living room. It has two thick brown leather handles on the sides, that are braided, & then have "2004" & "1854", printed on the handles. There are two contrasting colors woven into the sides, which are actually dark blue & maroon leather strips. Peterboro baskets are typically made with white American Ash wood. There is a special emblem on the front that reads: "Peterboro Basket Co, 1894 - 2004, Made in the USA, 150th Anniversary Edition". The condition is very good. This heirloom piece will serve you handsomely & be ready to pass on to the next generation!
