Hand-sculpted terra-cotta curiosity cabinet. Description: A biomorphic-style shelf inspired by marine invertebrate colonies. The asymmetrical design features curvaceous lines, gentle undulations, & points of confluence reminiscent of the way organisms grow & intertwine in nature. The cabinet creates an engaging visual display that evokes a sense of movement & growth as if the shelf itself were a living organism expanding within the space. The use of red clay as a material evokes a natural texture feeling & contributes to the overall sustainability of the piece. At the heart of the structure sits a retractable drawer that can serve as a hiding shelter for a keepsake item or as an incredible placement for an engagement ring. This handmade shelf seamlessly blends functionality & aesthetics, just like the structures found in nature. It provides ample storage & display space while serving as a striking focal point in the interior. The biomorphic shape inspired by coral & sponges, invites a deeper connection with the natural world, bringing harmony to the surrounding environment. The Air Chamber Shelf measures 11x12x4 inches, & the drawer's inner dimensions are approximately 1.5x1X1.5 inches (length x width x depth). This is the third sculpture of the Red Shelf collection. Each Red Shelf has its own individual design & unique features. Each represents a unique & one-of-a-kind piece of decor. I do my best to make photographs as faithful as possible. Depending on the light & your screen settings, the hues may appear slightly different from the original. Please, note that the videos of the product are reposted from my social media feed & may be altered by a filter. The listing price is for one ceramic shelf with one drawer made of fired red clay. It does not include seashells & other display items shown in the photos. The shelf was produced in a smoke-free studio in the middle of Brittany, France. Each item from my shop will be sent to you individually packaged & supplied with a description tag. It is ready to be gifted to yourself or someone special (no pricing information is included inside the packaging). The heaviness of pottery items & extra packaging precautions that are required to ensure that you receive your order safely, unfortunately, unavoidably affect the shipping price. The shipping is handled by La Poste (French mail service) - please, contact me if you prefer a different shipping method. If you travel to Brittany, I can also arrange an in-person pick-up.
