For example - an adapter at 36ID 27Ex means it will work with a tube that is 36 mm on the outside (it will slide inside the adapter) or 27 mm on the inside (it will slide over the adapter). If you found an adapter that I currently sell & you are convinced it may be close to what you are looking for but it might be a bit too tight for your purpose you can still purchase it & then put the problematic end in boiling water. It will soften the plastic & make it a bit rubbery which in turn will allow you to slide the tube in easily. If the adapter you are looking for is not listed by me or you would just prefer to have a tailored fit please contact me stating models & brands + dimensions inside & outside the tubes. For example: "I need an adapter for 1. Makita DVC750L which is 37.5mm on the inside & 42 mm on the outside 2. Shopvac hose which is 36 mm on the outside & 32 mm on the inside". It is best if you measure with calipers but that being said do not measure the holes with calipers directly. You will have to measure the outside of the tube & then deduct 2 times wall thickness. For example you have a hose that is 40 mm on the outside & the wall is 2 mm thick. That means the inside measurement will be 40mm - 2mm2 = 36mm. You can grab some cheap digital calipers for a few pounds & they will most likely save you a lot of frustration later. If you have familiarized yourself with the example drawing & you need a different adapter you can also try browsing my listings with measurements. For example entering a filter saying 36ID 22ID or something similar will result with getting your desired fit. If that is not available or you are looking for something that is not listed you can try a ready to go adapter which is slightly undersized & put it in boiling water for a few seconds to soften it up.
