The "darker aged" finish that we offer does not need cleaning. There is a light film from our polishing compound on our polished pieces, but to keep them shiny for as long as possible, but if your pewter ever tarnishes, follow these instructions: To clean pewter, use a dish of hot water & some mild dishwashing soap, then use a sponge to wipe down the surface; & rinse. Doing so eliminates a good amount of dirt & tarnish. An all-purpose metal polish can then be used for bringing back a high shine to your pewter. Thank you so much for visiting our shop!
