#37012 Vintage Pat Anderson nautical themed Giclee print featuring a view of the pier at Anglers Wharf featuring many business including, South Wharf Gallery, Eric Holch Gallery, Nantucket Ship Chandlery, Nantucket Anglers Club, & the Nantucket SeaArk Harbor Master boat. A large tuna hangs from the fish dock & anchors are cut from the matting. Provenance: Estate of J. Frederic Gagel, owner of multiple Thoroughbred race horses that competed in the Narragansett Special & Kentucky Derby. Their family heritage was strongly intertwined with the military having officers in battles dating back to the American Revolution. Pat Anderson's art combines detail & vibrant colors into an interesting new image of a subject. Her imagination, artistic experiences, & extensive island cruising with Capt. Pete, her late husband, have provided additional character & depth to her paintings. Pat created & published "My Own Cruising Journal," an actual journal of her artwork while cruising together on their yacht, in 1992, & expanded this cover design onto a variety of garments & merchandise. in 1996, the large retail store named after My Own Cruising Journal opened in the upscale city of Lighthouse Point, FL. They expanded the business by selling several lines of tropical & marine clothing, gifts, & pieces of artwork. CONDITION Good condition, light wear & distressing to frame.
