World War II Era Coins "I'll See You on the Dark Side of the Moon" - These are coins that are "dark" - blacks, browns, rust colors & spots - from the edges down, or edges up onto the person in the center of the coin. Some are fully covered & others are just sneaking in from the corners & around the raised edges. These are the coins that "show the details" that you wouldn't normally see when super clean. However, you do have coins that have obscured details as well. Why are they like this? I'm assuming it's similar to toning in silver coins & has to do with the way they have been used during their life time & then stored once collected. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" - & what looks nice to me, may not be your "cup of tea". All my coins are circulated, not cleaned & as I have found them. Please, examine the photos & rate for yourself. - 1944 - Colorful array - S Mint is a yellowish color, D Mint is a shadowy grey & a little scratched, & P Mint is brownish obverse & black reverse.
