This small wooden headrest is from the Kuba. It consists of a curved upper platform & an oblong base decorated with geometric patterns typical of the Kuba. This headrest is supported by two cylindrical forms stand on an oblong base. Such headrests were used as a comfort to support the neck or head while resting or sleeping.
