Description

4pc Silver Plated Tea Set by Sheridan, Pair of 5.5" Tall Silver Plated Candlestick Holder by Valero That is definitely a Sheridan mark. They were based out of Taunton, Ma from about 1946 to the 1970s. There's no pattern name, but this set almost a midcentury modern style. It has the streamlined body shape found with Mcm but the handle & finial with it's sort of floral design is a bit more traditional. A 4 piece set with a teapot, sugar, creamer & tray should date to around the 1960s. The teapot has a small dent need the base, see the photo. The candlesticks were made by Valero. Valero was a Spanish based silver company. They're no longer in business. I'm not sure when they closed down, but it looks like they were only in business for short time around the 1970s. I can't find anything past the 90s. They mostly produced odds & ends silver pieces, like candlesticks, goblets, etc. There's no pattern name but the modern sites list it as VRO1, which is just a modern reference code. They date to the 1970s. They have a bit of an Asian-influence to me. The stems almost resemble a sort of bamboo design. Those are worth about $20 to $25. 4Pc Silver Plated Tea Set By Sheridan, Pair Of 5.5" Tall Candlestick Holder Valero
