Vintage Archer Pork Booster ADM Cotton Muslin Sack 1960s advertising sack Double sided Printing MPLS Mn Mankato Mn Winona Mn Bemis bag. This sack has a lot of character. The sack is printed with graphics on BOTH sides. The graphics are very good on this sack. It has bold colors. The bag came straight from the farm & was cleaned by hanging on the clothesline both inside out & graphic side out. It was also shaken & vacuumed. The bag held ARCHER PORK BOOSTER which was manufactured by Archer Daniels Midland. Super treated with BOOSTRYN. Office: Minneapolis Minn, Plants: Mankato MN, Winona MN, MPLS MN copyright 1951. The sack features an archer as part of the logo. The back side of the bag also includes the BEMIS bag logo. The Colors are in very good vintage shape. The sack does have some farm fresh dirt stains as shown in the photos. It has 2 small holes on the top edge of the sack & it also has several tiny pinholes. I am guessing this bag was from the late 1950's or 1960's. Note it has some fading of the ink & small spots are shown in the photos. The sack is 21" wide X 39" long. History Archer Daniels Midland started in 1902 as Archer Daniels Linseed Company. in 1923 they purchased Midland Linseed Products Company & became Archer Daniels Midland. in 1962 it became known as ADM. The company is now an international company with over 35,000 employees. It is a large plant-based oil, soybean, & corn products company. Bemis Seamless bags were made by the Bemis Bag Company which was founded in 1858 in St Louis Missouri. They were the first company to make printed & machine sewn bags. in 1900, they formed the town of Bemis, Tennessee to supply cotton for the bags. They expanded to Minneapolis, MN & Omaha, Nebraska then several other areas. The company still exists today. Sold out of the style you're looking for?
