Beautifully print with a beautiful moment of Yoi no Mai dance parade on Sado Island, A traditional dance parade through the historic Kyomachi Dori (Kyomachi Street). Niigata Prefecture, Japan. The herons & Tokis birds (crested ibises) are also really cute. ♡ A wonderful for yourself or as a gift for someone. Note : Kyomachi Dori was the main street connecting the Gold Mine & the Commissioner's Office During the Edo Period (1603-1867), & was lined with merchant's houses. All dancer groups in the festival were dressed up differently, all equipped with a hat made from igusa, a solid plant also used for the manufacture of tatami mats. Musicians & singers sang & performed lively songs while others danced a traditional dance called Aikawa Ondo. It was really a super beautiful to see this traditional performance.
