Our hand-distilled hydrosol is crafted from Appalachian spring water & ethically wild-foraged Bee Balm blossoms from our property. Hydrosol is also known as "flower water" & is produced by steam distillation using fresh plant material such as leaves, fruits, flowers & other parts of a plant. The fragrance of a hydrosol is similar to the essential oil of a plant but is usually greener & softer. Hydrosol comes from the water-soluble parts of plant material that are not present in the essential oil. It is a byproduct of the essential oil making process & was once valued more than essential oil. Hydrosols make great skin care products & can be used as toners & facial mists. They are great as air fresheners & can be used to cleanse a room in place of a smoke smudge. They can be used as perfume & as a fabric refresher. They are also great additions to your own green house cleaning product recipes. This product is not regulated by the FDA. It is not meant to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness.
