The house forms the setting for the plays, but it's fun for children to let their imaginations take them up the stairs & around the house, moving their characters around the garden, which contains little scenes from the Tale of Peter Rabbit. These include the forest path, with a basket of blackberries. a small garden of cabbages resembling Mr. McGregor's garden, a potting area with seedlings (which is also the envelope holding the paper "doll" characters & props). There's also a cold-frame with its window, and, at the front of the house, a cottage garden. To one side of the house is the Tam-O-Shanter Hat on a little scarecrow in the garden. Underneath the corner pop-up of mullioned windows & buttercups, which is the entrance to Jeremy Fisher's house, is a pond with lily pads for him to sit on as he fishes. The little booklet includes the stories for The Tale of Peter Rabbit & the Tale of Samuel Whiskers, but many more characters are included than just those that appear in those stories. Follow the path past Mr. McGregor's garden to Peter Rabbit's burrow, or even take a visit to Mr. Jeremy Fisher's pond. This spectacular 3-dimensional scene is accompanied by a full-colour illustrated story book which includes two plays to act out: "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" & "The Tale of Samuel Whiskers". in the corner envelope you will find sheets of press-outs which include all the stand-up figures & props you will need to act out your plays, plus lots more of your favourite Beatrix Potter characters. Prices reflect the levels of the condition of the book, outside & inside: Two are new, still in shrink-wrap BOTH ARE SOLD One is complete, in excellent condition, but the book binding at the bottom is damaged.
