Lovely small bowl that is ceramic that has been backed with a metal. On the ceramic scenes of court life appear in shades of soft petal pink, green, mint, green, baby blue, & soft yellows. This bowl may have been intended to be an ashtray has two sides, have soft & indents , where smokes would have rested . It is a very heavy bowl, especially for its size as it measures five & three-quarter inches in diameter by 1 1/2 inches deep. It is a pretty bowl for display, especially sitting on top of stack of books on the coffee table. Nice condition, the ceramic has no damage.
