He merged with the deity "Ra" under the name "Amun - Ra", thus linking "Amun" with the doctrine of the sun, & assumed the status of the official deity of the state since the Twelfth Dynasty, & continued for most of the periods of ancient Egyptian history. Hidden meaning of his name. It is difficult to know exactly how his name was pronounced, because the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs used consonants (consonants), so his name was written Imn (Imn), & it is possible that he was pronounced safe with the fraction tilted to open. The word (Imn) was also mentioned as an adjective meaning (the hidden, the hidden, the hidden, the unseen), & it is often written in the same forms as the verb. The word (Imn) was mentioned from the era of the Old Kingdom as an adjective meaning: (the right, the western), or it refers to (the right) as the word is a noun. The idol "Amun" took its name from the adjective "hidden", which expresses its embodied nature in its role as one of the members of Thamon "Al-Ashmounin". The name "Amun" was mentioned for the first time in the Middle Kingdom on two tablets from the Eleventh Dynasty, one of which was found in the tomb of King "Intafaa" in the "Qurna" region, where it contained the phrase: (House, or: Temple of "Amun"). As for the second board, a song was recorded on it addressed to both the goddess "Hathor" & the god "Amun". The tablet belonged to the king "Intef Wah Ankh" (Intef II). It was found in the "Dara Abu al-Naga" cemetery, & is now preserved in the "Metropolitan Museum" in New York. Another inscription was found written in the "Wadi al-Hamamat" region from the reign of King "Mentuhotep IV, Neb Tawi Ra", in which the name of the minister "Amenemhat" was mentioned), in which its owner was affiliated with the idol "Amun"; As his name means (Amun in the foreground), & it is the name that was carried by some of the kings of the Twelfth Dynasty after that. & "Amun" occupied the status of the official deity in Egypt, when King "Sahtepipre" (Amenemhat I) was able to establish the Twelfth Dynasty, making him the first & official deity of the state.
