Rare antique Austro Hungarian, Austrian Bronze mini statue: bird (robin) protecting its egg, on a four leaf lucky clover. This is the first time I got a few of these little bronzes for the shop - they usually cost an arm & a leg, & are hard to find, but if you like funny little antique things, I definitely recommend looking them up ('Austrian cold painted bronze')! Some of them are cold painted too, & are just so much fun! This one is just plane bronze, not painted, just slightly gilded, with the gilding mostly oxidised & partly worn. Note: this bronze is more coppery in colour - it might just be the contrast with the more golden gold, I am not sure. 20 mm tall, 30 mm wide, made in detail, really cute! Would make a lovely gift for a bird lover! Have a look around my shop for other rare & unusual items!
